How You Can Benefit with the HomeBuilder Scheme – A $25,000 Government Grant For New Homes!

The Federal Government has recently announced the HomeBuilder Scheme which will give eligible Australians $25,000 to build their new home. The contract needs to be signed between 4 June 2020 and 31 December 2020, with construction commencing within three months of the contract date. This generous package will boost the demand in the construction sector and keep builders employed in the wake of COVID-19.

At Mount View Grange we have a limited number of registered blocks remaining in the newly completed Precinct One, which will assist buyers to meet the eligibility criteria and start construction of your new home within the government timeframes.

HomeBuilder is a time-limited grant program and, in order to access the grant, owner-occupiers must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • you are a natural person (not a company or trust)
  • you are aged 18 years or older
  • you are an Australian citizen
  • you meet one of the following two income caps:
    • $125,000 per annum for an individual applicant based on your 2018-19 tax return or later; or
    • $200,000 per annum for a couple based on both 2018-19 tax returns or later;
  • you enter into a building contract between 4 June 2020 and 31 December 2020 to build a new home as a principal place of residence, where the property value does not exceed $750,000
  • construction must commence within three months of the contract date.

What is even better is that this $25,000 grant can be accessed on top of the First Home Owners grant and other government schemes. As this is a time-limited grant program you need to act now to secure the $25,000 and a registered block at Mount View Grange. To check your eligibility, click here.
